Purse Box with Matching Cards and Envelopes

I found this video by The Pink Stamper on YouTube and just had to scraplift. For my card I used a different flower and made my own cards and envelopes to fit in the purse, otherwise my project is very similar to hers. Also please check out her website if you haven’t…. she is amazing!

Just in case you want to make your own 3 x 3 inch envelopes and liners, here are the measurements. For additional assembly information you may want to view my video on how to make envelopes and liners using both the Scor-Pal and the Martha Stewart Score Board.

Cut one piece of paper 7-7/8 x 5-1/4 inches. With 4-1/4 inch side going along the top on the board…score each side at the one inch mark. Turn paper so the 7-7/8 inch side is along the top and score at 2 and 5-1/4 inches. I also trimmed a ¼ inch off the top envelope flap as I wanted mine a little narrower. Cut one piece of paper 3 x 4 inches for the liner. I rounded all corners.

I also used my homemade glitter paste on my flowers. If you would like to make your own glitter paste click here to see my video.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Cricut Cartridge Holder

I love this SVG Cricut cartridge holder file designed by Penny Duncan. Click here to get the free SVG file. Also be sure to check out her website. Since I use Design Studio, I don’t store my cartridges and handbooks near my Cricut and thought having a holder for all my cartridges would be a good idea. This holder is for my Pagoda Cartridge and also includes a flower from the cartridge.

My goal is to make a customized holder for each of my cartridges. For the “Pagoda/Notes” pad, I used Word to create the title and lines. Too much fun!

Candace from Scap A Doodle Dee made the cutest sour cream containers filled with Starburst candy. They are so adorable and would make great gifts.

If you are interested in using your Crop A Dile with Bind It All wires to make a post it note holder, click here. Needless to say I will be trying this technique.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a great Fab Five Friday!

Camping Album for Landon

I made this cute album for my grand nephew Landon who will be turning one in June. We are going on a family camping trip over Memorial Day, and we can’t wait to take pictures to fill his album. For this album, I used the Bo Bunny Roughin' It Tent Kit. I used most of the papers, but did my own thing instead of following the recommended layouts. I used the George Cartridge for the title.

Happy Spring!

Posted by Picasa

Last week Enfys from Going Buggy posted the cutest flower pot card ever! I continue to be so inspired by her work and I just had to make this card. She also posted a link to a great tutorial that I watched when making my card.

I used the George cartridge for my flowers and cut them at 3, 2, and 1-1/4 inches. The leaves were cut at 1 inch and are from the Walk In My Garden cartridge. Lastly, I used a small flower punch for the center, added bling to the centers of the flowers, and pearls to the flower pot.

Have a great day!

The card and envelope were cut at 4-1/4 inches and I inked all edges.

The decorative papers for the front were cut at 4-1/8 x 2-1/8
and 4-1/8 x 7/8 inches. The paper for the back of the gift card measures 4-1/8 x 2-5/8.

I tied a ribbon around the front of the card and attached the flowers with a pop-up dot.

Martha Stewart Score Board vs Scor-Pal Update: Comments From The Inventor

I would like to thank Diana Crick, inventor of the Scor-Pal for taking the time to comment on my blog. She had a few comments on using the Scor-Pal more effectively. She also shared information about a soon to be released product. Please click here to see my video and her comments in their entirety.

"This is Diana Crick creator of Scor-pal. I noticed there were a couple of things you were doing wrong. The Scor-Tool is held at a 45 degree angle to the board. You are scoring with the side of the tool not the tip. This pushes the paper into the deeper grooves, deeper than MS and that is why you can score heavier card stock on our board. Do not score using the tip. Also you were folding in the wrong direction. Fold with the score line to the OUTSIDE of the fold, bump to the inside.

We have a new product coming in early June, the Scor-Buddy, a mini Scor-Pal. The scoring surface is 6 5/8" w x 7" l. It has grooves every 1/4", asterisk at 4 1/4" for A2, dots for gate-fold, triangle for 1/3 of 11". Between 0-1" and 5 5/8 to 6 5/8 there are grooves every 1/8th of an inch. It comes with its own tote bag and will retail for $19.95. It also will have a Scor-Mat, possibly magnetized.

We have updated envelope instructions that are EASY. If you contact me by e-mail I will forward these to you."
