Click here and type in the Promo Code BOUTIQUE when you order to receive the savings.

For those of you that already have a cutting machine, you can purchase the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software for $24.99. This software is incredible and I use it on every project. To see a detailed PDF comparison between the Silhouette Studio software and the Studio Designer Edition software, click here. Did I mention that I love the advanced knife and eraser tools and you will too!

Did I mention you can also cut and use the fonts already installed on your computer? Can you tell I love my Cameo?

I made this Silhouette print and cut clover pillow box that I purchased from the Silhouette on-line store in a matter of minutes. I also used this adorable clover kisses print and cut file to decorate my Hershey kisses. I am making several of these to give away at our Saint Patrick’s Day dinner party so I am extremely grateful that they are so quick and easy!

Have a great day and you can click here if you would like to order any of the above products. Remember the Promo code is BOUTIQUE. Please feel free to spread the word and don’t forget to enter my giveaway!

Fun with Inexpensive Metal Repair Tape

My sister discovered this amazing metal tape when she was making tags for her Steampunk album and I could not wait to share it with you.  The tape is used for heating and air conditioning repair and has a beautiful sheen to it.  This versatile tape can be purchased at most hardware stores and you get 50 yards of tape for around $7.00.

In the video below, I demonstrate several fun ways to use it. You are going to love this tape. One of my favorite techniques involves embossing it with Anna Griffin embossing folders and using alcohol inks. You can even punch it and paint it with acrylic paints. And lots more!!

Thanks for visiting and be sure to stop in tomorrow for a mega giveaway you will not want to miss! Yahoo!!

Saint Patrick’s Day Table Decoration

We are having a dinner party the day before Saint Patrick’s Day and I thought it would be fun to make table decorations. This is my first one and I plan to make several different types. The Cameo makes it so easy!

I love this lucky frog design from the Silhouette on-line store. I attached the image to a homemade tent card, so I can use this adorable image as a table decoration. I love how versatile the Silhouette designs are. You could use this image on a scrapbook page, for a table decoration or welded together to make an adorable card. Another plus is you can size this image to meet your needs.

I added a mini shamrock sticker to the hat, a rhinestone to the bow, and added faux stitching to the larger shamrock. This was a super cute and easy table decoration.

Be sure to stop back Wednesday to see a technique video using a unique and inexpensive product purchased from the hardware store. I love this technique and you will too!

She plans to make 3 additional videos so stay tuned!

I recently purchased the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug machine and folders from HSN and I love them. They sold out super-fast, but guess what? Provocraft has some adorable new folders. Motivational Calendar

I recently joined Weight Watchers and started thinking about crafting ideas that would help. I am a lifetime member and I wanted to lose a few pounds, so I thought it would be fun to change a traditional advent calendar kit from Silhouette to a motivational calendar to help me with my weight and exercise goals. I love how it turned out. You could modify this advent calendar to help achieve your personal goals, countdown to a holiday or special event or for a traditional advent calendar.

This limited edition advent calendar kit comes with the frame, clips and a full set of shapes, that can be arranged any way you like. Use your Silhouette and your favorite paper, stickers or other embellishments to customize the calendar in your own style. With different decorations, the advent calendar can be used for any occasion.

I used the Beautiful Moments collection from Carta Bella for most of the paper and stickers.

I had so much fun making these adorable pockets.

I added motivational notes on the back of each of the inserts. Scroll down to see my list. Be sure to watch the video to see more of this adorable calendar and how I made the pockets and inserts.

Simply Organized Sunday

Welcome to Simply Organized Sunday…SOS for short. Every Sunday I showcase blogs, websites or posts that provide innovative approaches to organizing and designing your craft space as well as other areas in your home. Today is all about organizing!

I love how Sarah turned this blank wall in her laundry room into a gift-wrap station. Click here to read more about how she did it for $31.00. They mounted the entire sytem on a piece of ply board instead of nailing holes directly into the wall. What a great idea!

I never thought of using cup hooks to hold wrapping paper.

Claudia carved a home office out of an old computer desk that she found for $40.00. You could also use this idea for your crafts. Click here to learn more about this amazing project.

To make her son Nolan happy, she painted the inside of the doors with chalkboard paint.

Click here to view, thirteen additional slide shows all about organizing. I want to thank Woman’s Day for all these wonderful tips. Don’t miss their 12-week declutterring plan and their garage makeover.

Life Planner Made using File Folders

Before we get started, make sure you click here to enter my giveaway. I am giving away a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine and Double-sided Adhesive kit! You have until midnight tonight to enter. The winner will be announced on Thursday!

I am beyond excited to share this amazing life organizer made by my sister Di using purple file folders!

Today’s video is a little different in that I am going to show you her organizer, but I will wait until she visits to film a how-to segment. My sister followed the YouTube December Daily 2012 Lap Book video tutorials by Kathy Orta from Paper Phenomenon. There are 7 of them. My sister added to Kathy’s basic design, but used Kathy’s videos for the main parts of the organizer.

It took her over 7 days to create this life organizer which measures 11½ x 32 inches when fully opened. It was impossible to take photos that showed all of her amazing details, so I decided to show you the entire organizer in a video.

My sister even included a monthly calendar and refills as part of her design.

A special thanks to my sister for sharing her amazing work with me. Also, my sister would like to give a special shout-out to Kathy Orta’s YouTube channel for her videos on how to make a lap book using file folders. Also be sure to check out Kathy Orta’s blog, Paper Phenomenon .

Have a great day.

Silhouette Double-sided Adhesive Kit

Before we get started, make sure you click here to enter my giveaway. I am giving away a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine and Double-sided Adhesive kit!

I received my double-sided adhesive starter kit from Silhouette and could not wait to use it! My husband and I are having a romantic valentine’s dinner at home so I decided to make a quick candle for our place-settings. I still have to make another one.

The candle was so easy and inexpensive to make. I cut a piece of gold vellum 2 5/8 inches x 7 1/2 inches and wrapped it around a votive candle holder that I purchased at Target. Next I used the Silhouette double- sided adhesive and cut out a heart designed by Samantha Walker that you can purchase from the Silhouette on-line store. The adhesive cut perfectly and was super easy to use. Click here to order this amazing adhesive and remember to use my promo code BOUTIQUE to get the sale price of $12.99. My mind is spinning with all the possibilities. Also Valentine shapes are just 75 cents at the Silhouette Online store through February 14th. Wow!

Next I applied the gold glitter from the Silhouette kit and brushed away the excess with a brush that came with the kit. The ultrafine glitter is stunning. I inserted a flameless votive candle and was done.

Since glitter worked great with the adhesive, I thought I would experiment with a few other products.

For my first experiment, I used the double-sided adhesive and covered it with gold leaf. I used the brush that was included in the kit and it worked perfectly.

For the heart in the middle of the photo I used the adhesive with microbeads. Another success!

Lastly I used the adhesive with silver embossing powder and then heated the heart with my embossing gun. I love the textured look! Wow! Three for three!

You are going to love this kit and it is on sale for $12.99. The kit is a must have and includes six 8.5 inch double sided adhesive sheets, three colors of glitter, three colors of flocking powder, spatula, brush, 10 exclusive designs and an idea book. Click here to order and remember to use my promo code BOUTIQUE to get the sale price. Did I mention that the Portrait is also on sale? Click here for the sale info and to enter my Portrait giveaway!
