Make it in Minutes Monday!

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday… the Mini Series. I thought it would be fun to feature some quick and easy cards that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

I made a quick card using new products from Anna Griffin. I love her Gabbie collection designed by Maude Asbury. I purchased my materials from HSN and I am thrilled with them!

The paper is from her 6 x 6 inch paper pad. I added two stickers also from her collection and some stickles and was done! Super quick and easy and no cutting machine needed. The colors in this collection are so vibrant and trendy that I think it is a must buy.

Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for a fun new product video that you are going to love!

And now for my contribution to the blog hop…..

I got this idea for an earring tree from How About Orange and had to try making one using Samantha’s backyard tree house file. It worked perfectly!

I slightly modified Samantha’s file by using the knife tool to make a straight bottom on the tree and then welding the tree and trunk together to form the tree. You can use the tree house portion for another cute project.

I cut four trees out of heavy pink cardstock and then glued two of them together to make the tree stronger. You could also use Silhouette chipboard to make the tree even sturdier. You end up with two thick tree shapes.

On one of the shapes cut a slit starting at the center of the top of the tree down four inches. Next cut a slit in the other tree starting from the center of the bottom up four inches. The slits should be just wide enough to make the other piece fit snuggly. Once the slits are cut slip the two pieces together to form the 3D earring tree. Be sure to adjust the width and length of the slits if the tree does not sit flat. You could also put a drop of glue at the top and bottom for added stability.

I used a small round hole punch to make the holes for my earrings and was done! This would make a great gift!

The background paper in the photo is from Samantha’s new Carta Bella collection, Cool Summer. This sheet is double sided with the cutest ice cream banners on the back. I can’t wait to show you more of her collection!

Thanks for visiting and be sure to click here to head over to Chrissy’s s blog, Scraparoni Digi Pages.

Fab Five Friday

Welcome to Fab Five Friday. For those of you that are new to this blog, every Friday I showcase five blogs, websites or posts that I think you will enjoy.

I had a great week searching for fun and interesting blogs and I came up with a few unique blogs that I think you will enjoy.

I recently began using the sketching function on my Silhouette Cameo and I love it! Can you believe these sketches were made using the Cameo? Jin from Under the Cherry Tree made has the best tutorial ever for making these art sketches using the Cameo.

Most of you know, one of my husband’s hobbies is making micro beer. I love making labels for his beer and stumbled across this fun site, the Beer Labelizer. You can customize several labels for free and they really look impressive. Need I say more?

While playing, I mean working on beer labels, I also discovered the Jam Labelizer where you can make several custom and free jam labels. Amazing what you find when you are playing….I mean working!

I have several beautiful scarves hanging in my closet that I never wear. I decided it was time to learn how to tie them. For the best scarf tutorial video ever, click here to see Wendy’s 25 Ways to Wear a Scarf in 4.5 minutes. I am inspired!

I Love to Create is a must see blog. And all the designers are an amazingly talented group of woman that you will love. While you are there check out the DIY post on how to make studded flats.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

In today’s video I demo how to make custom sized page protectors that will work with the new Arc Desktop Punch System from Staples and you can make them for your ringed binders too! Click here to see part one of the video.

The good news is that you can make the custom sized page protectors using the inexpensive 8 ½ x 11 that you can purchase at Costco or on-line. I love being able to make 3x4, 4x6, 6x6, 8x8, 8x10 or any size anytime. I love the flexibility!

Make it in Minutes Monday!

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday… the Mini Series. I thought it would be fun to feature some quick and easy cards that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them. This card is so easy... and that is not an April  fools joke. BTW Happy April Fools day!

I only made two modifications to this adorable file from SVG Cuts. I used the knife tool to cut an extra layer from the panel and backed the bird and miss you with a separate piece of paper. I added some pearls, a button, a bow and was done! My card is part of a set that I just purchased from SVG cuts.

If you are looking for a quick and easy card set, this one is for you.

I can’t wait to make the birthday card

Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for a fun new project video.
