Happy New Year!

Unfortunately I am sick with the flu, but the good news is that my husband helped out by writing this post. We wish you a wonderful New Year and thought you might enjoy a look back at some of his favorite photos.

Hello all, Linda is getting better in spite of my cooking, but this bug has taken it's toll and she is getting some much needed rest. We didn't travel much this year due to family health issues, so all of my landscapes this year were taken in Yellowstone. I hope you enjoy taking another look at my photos and have a Happy New Year!

Simply Organized Sunday

Welcome to Simply Organized Sunday…SOS for short. Every Sunday I showcase blogs, websites or posts that provide innovative approaches to organizing and designing your craft space as well as other areas in your home. Can you believe it is almost 2015?

Speaking of 2015, for me one of the best ways to get organized is to have a fun calendar.

And what could be more fun than a beautifully designed free calendar from Lia Griffith. This easy-to-use calendar is set up so that you can open the PDF in your Adobe Acrobat or Reader and add your own holidays, birthdays and events. Lia included all of the major US holidays, but if you live in another country, you can edit or delete these too.

Click here for all the details!

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Card From My Sister

A special thanks to my sister Di, for making this elegant Christmas card. Di, my much younger sister was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on October 7th. Since then she has spent one week out of every three weeks hospitalized for chemotherapy. She also spent Thanksgiving in the hospital in Olympia, Washington and my husband and I were fortunate to spend that time with her and her family.

Santa and his elves delivered a Cricut Explore early this year and this is the first card my sister made. I want to thank everyone for your gifts, thoughts, prayers and your continued support. It means a lot to us!

Thanks for visiting and have a Happy Holiday Season!

Make It in Minutes Monday Guest Post

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

This Make it in Minutes Monday is brought to you by my husband, Bill. Every year he makes Christmas cards for family and friends using one of his photos.

The photo is the Marysville Trading Company in Marysville, MT. The ghost town was founded in 1876 and was most active in the 1880's and 1890's mining gold and silver.

This year I thought it would be fun to make them a joint project, so I added glitter!

Hope you and your family are having a wonderful holiday season!

Fab Five Friday!

Welcome to Fab Five Friday. For those of you that are new to this blog, every Friday I showcase five blogs, websites or posts that I think you will enjoy.

You all know how much I love box cards and so does my sister. She recently sent me this link to a stunning box card from Petaloo. Wow!

Check out this video for more information on StampTV’s perfect panels. What a wonderful idea!

If you like Tim Holtz’s crackled texture paste, you are going to love this project from Stamping Mathilda! One of my goals for 2015 is to try more mixed media projects.

I know it is too late to make an advent calendar for this year, but just think how perfect this would be for next year. I love how simple it is. You could also use it to showcase some of your gift tags or smaller cards. Or better yet, make it larger to display Christmas cards! Thanks Shanty 2 Chic.

I found this great idea on Pinterest and just had to share. Click here for more great holiday pins.

Hope you are having a fabulous Friday!
