Make it in Minutes Monday

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards and projects that take only minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

I purchased Anna’s Gracious Giftables Cricut Cartridge from HSN and I love it. For this Father’s Day gift card holder, I used the Shirt and Tie Holder (#M1B96F1E). It would also be perfect for a birthday gift.

All I need to do is buy a gift card and I am done! I can’t wait to give it to my Father-In-Law for Father’s Day.

Click here to see Anna’s sizing directions. I followed her sizing directions with one exception. I made this holder a little smaller, because I wanted it to fit on my 8 x 8 inch paper. You can modify the measurements based on the size of your gift card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a marvelous Monday!

SOS Sunday Sort Of…..

Welcome to Simply Organized Sunday…SOS for short. Every Sunday I typically showcase blogs, websites or posts that provide innovative approaches to organizing and designing your craft space as well as other areas in your home. I am taking some time off to celebrate Memorial Day with my family so I combined my Fab Five Friday and SOS Sunday into a brief post.

I am a huge fan of bows and was thrilled when I discovered this video on easy ways to make bows by Gina K.

Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend!

Coloring Glitter Paper

I love using glitter paper, but I never seem to have the right color. So I decided to try using different glitter papers and pens to color my glitter paper.

I posted this card several weeks ago and I am finally getting around to filming the video. I used Anna Griffin silver glitter paper, but you could use any brand. The image is the Flower (#MFB2E4) from the Cricut Bits and Pieces cartridge. Any outline image will work. I attached the outline image to the solid background image that I cut our of silver glitter paper. Next I colored the paper using my Sharpies. The finished size is 4 ¼ x 5 ½.

I love how the glitter looks like stained glass!

Be sure to watch the following video to see which pens and papers work with this fun technique.

Have a wonderful week!

For this adorable gift card holder, I used the Coin Purse Holder (#M1B965F2). I used stickers from my stash to add to the band.

All I need to do is buy a gift card and I am done! This is an adorable and easy baby shower gift.

Click here to see Anna’s sizing directions. I mostly followed her sizing directions. However, I ungrouped the resized image and sized the band to 8.52" x .8". You may want to make the entire size smaller depending on the size of your gift card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a marvelous Monday!

Coloring Glitter Paper

I am starting to feel better and slowly getting back to crafting. I hope to be back to my regular schedule soon. I love using glitter paper, but I never seem to have the right color. So I decided to try using different glitter papers and pens to color my glitter paper.

Once I discovered how easy it is to color glitter paper using Sharpies, I created this fun card.

I am working on a video to demonstrate this process in detail and how different glitter papers react to this technique. My goal is to have it posted next week.

Have a wonderful week!
