I have a tip, just in case you didn't know...<br /><br />You have the extra hand you needed for tying the ribbon. When you start tying your knot, normally, you loop the ribbon over once (ie: left over right and under). Try looping the ribbon twice, ie: left over right, under, and under again. This is an old sailors' trick that holds the tightness of your half knot until you can finish the second stage. It holds with curling ribbon and many other ribbons.
