I'm not sure if this will help, but Tim Holtz recommended it for some of his folders a while back and it seems to help there. At least my "non-card" making friends would be impressed and wouldn't know the different. But, have you tried feeding the border embossing folder "open" side first rather then the folded side when feeding through your Cuttlebug.
