File Folder Memo Pad Cover

I needed a smaller version of a memo pad cover made out of an ordinary file folder for a fundraiser. These covers will fit 4 inch x 6 inch memo pads. They are so easy and fun to do and make great gifts!

Here is the tutorial to make this memo pad holder.

Bison and Roses

My husband and I on are a mini vacation in Yellowstone Park. We have been lucky to see numerous elk, bison, coyotes, and bighorn sheep. You might think bridges are for cars, but no one told these bison. Thought I would share.

Since we are on vacation, I thought I would do a playful post. I saw these fun rings made out of pipe cleaners on The Martha Stewart Show last month and just had to make them. They will be great for bridal showers or birthday parties. Click here for information on how to make them.

My First Photoshop Card

I am so trying to learn Photoshop CS4 and this is my first card using layers. I created the text in Photoshop CS4 and changed the opacity in each layer to get a softer effect. On the last layer I left Happy Birthday at 100%. I am amazed at all you can do in Photoshop. Wow.

Making Custom Brads

Here is the video I promised. Hope you enjoy making your brads and please let me know if you have any questions.

Also I am in the process of transferring all of my videos to my new channel. Yahoo! Thanks for your support.

Making Custom Brads

I use tons of brads and want them in every color and style. Unfortunately, that can be pricey so I decided to use my i-top with different types of paper, ribbon and glitter to make inexpensive homemade brads. Now I can customize my brads to match my cards and layouts.

I am in the process of uploading a video demonstrating how to use the i-top with papers, ribbon and glitter to make brads. I hope to have the video posted later today.

In the meantime, have a Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Ready for Spring

I am so ready for Winter to be over. This was a quick and easy card I made using the Walk in My Garden Cartridge. The only challenging part was that I used a very small hole punch to make the small circles. Just when you think you have the right border punch you don't. Happy Spring!

Making Glimmer Mist

As promised, here is my video on how to make Glimmer Mist.

Glimmer Mist and more

I love Glimmer Mist and want it in every available color and more. Unfortunately, it is a little on the expensive side so I tried making my own. I developed a softer tone on tone metallic version. Yahoo! Now I am not limited to only a few colors.

Currently my husband and I are putting the finishing touches on a video demonstrating the quick process. Hopefully, I will have my first video ever... posted later today.

Thanks again for stopping in.

Attitude

I love the new Forever Young Cartridge from Cricut. It is full of paper dolls for adults. I made a few modifications to her hat and dress and cut out a border using a SCAL file. I used the swiss dots embossing folder on the word and inked the layers. Too much fun.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

I used a free svg file to create this card. I enlarged the file and welded two circles together to form the card. I used my Cuttlebug to add texture to the third layer and inked the second layer. Easy and fun. Please click here for the free SVG file designed by Amy Aimitup. Thanks for visiting and Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
