Breaking News Card

I made this retro card for my best friend’s birthday, but it could be easily adapted for many different occasions. Both the television card and the envelope SVG files were free thanks to SVG cuts. Click here for the free files. I used Photoshop for the sentiment, added some bling and faux stitching and was done. Super quick and easy card!

Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) Overview

Recently I have received a number of emails asking me about Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) and what it can do so I thought I would put together a short demonstration including an overview of SCAL features, how to weld, and how to quickly and easily make a shadow for your welded word.





I made this card a few months ago, but had to share since it is one of my favorites. To make this cute card, I purchased an SVG file from SVG Cuts and made the following modifications. I used my all time favorite flower from the George cartridge to make the flower, and my second favorite tool, the Cuttlebug.

I am addicted to the 8 inch by 8 inch paper stacks from DCWV because they have smaller sized prints that are perfect for making cards or smaller die cuts. For this project, I used the Café Mediterranean stack that I purchased from Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Gingerbread Man Card

To make this cute card, I purchased a file from SVG cuts and used my Sure Cuts A Lots program. I used glitter for added bling and cuttlebugged the hat band and tops of the boots using the swiss dots folder. For the inside of the card, I used my Signo uni-ball white pen to add the stitches This card and envelope were so quick and easy to make.

Gingerbread House Christmas Card

To make this cute card, I purchased a file from SVG Cuts and used my Sure Cuts A Lots program. I added glitter to the gum drops for added bling. For the inside of the card, I cut the candy from the same paper I used for the envelope. This card was so quick and easy and makes a great Christmas card.

Happy Birthday Landon!

I made this card for my grand nephew Landon’s birthday. My goal was to make the card using only solid color card stock. I used Hero Arts stamps for the cupcakes and the sentiment.



This is the inside of the card and the envelope. The sentiment is from the Beyond Birthday cartridge. I used a Fiskars punch for the border. Click here for the free Toy Train SVG cut.

Fun With Flowers

I used a free svg file to create this card. I enlarged the file and welded two circles together to form the card. I used my Cuttlebug to add texture to the third layer and inked the second layer. Valentine's Day Easel Card

I thought I would try an Easel card using a SCAL file I found on the Internet and a Hero Arts stamp. I watched Joy's video and made a few minor changes to fit my design. Check out her video for more information.

Card using SCAL

I so love using my SCAL program. I made this card using a file called Scalloped Shapes I purchased from SVG cuts. The flowers were cut using the Cricut George Cartridge and for the sentiment tag I used Storybook. I stamped the word Celebrate and my easy card was complete. Be sure to check out SVG cuts. You can purchase the program from them and also beautiful files.

New Discovery

During my long break, I discovered a wonderful new software for my Cricut. The software is called Sure Cuts Alot and has been out for about a year. New to me!

I so recommend it as I use my Cricut more often. Now if I would only keep up my posts.
