“Free as a Bird” Card Video and Easy Enamel Technique

I made this card for a dear friend of ours who just retired. “Free as A Bird” seemed to be a fitting theme for her retirement. Be sure to watch the video for complete instructions. Also on the video is another card and a fun and easy enamel technique. For your convenience, the measurements are listed below.

Card Measurements:

For the card, I used a piece of card stock (“Good Morning Sunshine” paper from “Imaginisce” ) measuring 10 x 6 ½ inches.

The next layer is cut at 4 ¾ x 6 ¼ using “Twinkle Twirls Glitter” paper. The pink layer measures 3 x 4 ¼.

I cut the last layer at 2-3/4 x 4 and cuttlebugged using the “Swirls” embossing folder. Once again, I used “Good Morning Sunshine” paper.

For the sentiment, I used the “Storybook” cartridge set at 3 1/8. I cut the marquee 1 using the shadow function and then cut the accent to match. Both are on page 66 of the manual. I used Photoshop to create text and then cuttlebugged the tag using the “Swiss Dots” embossing folder.

Finally, I added the chipboard bird from the “Lucy Bird Collection”, three small flowers, rhinestones and ribbon.
