Owl Cards with the Imagine and Expression: a Comparison

I seriously love my new Imagine and decided it would be fun to use the Imagine to remake a card that I made last summer with the Expression. My self- imposed rules, included only using the Imagine…no added texturing. I know this was not a fair test, but I was impressed with the result!

I used the Cindy Loo and Imagine More Cartridges for this card. The Owl is cut at 5 inches. One of my favorite things about the Imagine is that it sizes the print to fit your image. No more looking for smaller prints to go with smaller cuts! Combining the Imagine with my existing cartridges greatly expands my options. In fact, the combinations are endless. I used my Design Studio to weld the card and I am thrilled with the final product!

This is my original card. I used Design Studio to weld two owls together to form a card. The owl is on page 60 of the handbook and is cut at 5 ¼ inch.

The blue layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder and the white layer is embossed using the Swiss Dot folder. I love Signo’s uni-ball broad tip pen and used it to outline around the owl. It is my favorite white pen and produces consistent results!

Bottom line, I like both cards and I am enjoying the new options that I have with the Imagine.

I love the card, but I have one question. You said you used DS to weld the owl to make the card. I was under the impression that DS would not work with the Imagine. I hope my impression was wrong. Thanks for sharing.--Ryansmaama
