Changing the Card Sentiments and Tips for Layering using the E2 Just a Note Cartridge

I just received my E2 and am having fun playing. I love the Just a Note cartridge that was included; however I found it a bit challenging, so I decided to do a video. I wanted to be able to mix and match sentiments with different cards and after some practice I came up with an easy solution. Also I wanted to use more layers when making the cards. Hope you enjoy the video!

Wonderful card, Linda! I don't have the E2, but use something like your idea with Wrap It Up in order to get more details on the other layers. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial! What's fantastic about your tips is that so many can be transferred/used with other cartridges and ideas.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been very frustrated with this cartridge b.c my layers were not lining up right. There is no way I would have figured it out on my own! I do have a question though, once I find the true size of the card layer, do I cut the phrase layers with true size or relative? Also when I made a card what I wanted to be the inside was the outside, so I guess I needed to flip my paper over? Again I am so thankful for your video!

BlueSkyGirl. Once you find the size, then use relative to cut the sentiment. Hope this helps! Thanks for the nice comment.

Hi Linda,

I just tried the pinwheel thank you card. Card size 5.5 said true size of card layer 5.25, but that is way too small as is 5.5. I really think these cards are cute, just wish it wasn't so confusing. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Linda, I finally tried your card. I must have watched your video 10 times and paused it while I followed along on my E2. After a few hours and multiple tries, I had an ah ha moment and made a card almost identical to yours.

Thank you so very much for figuring this out for us! I love your viedos and I always learn something from you. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us.

I have a question for you. On your video you said you cut the cake at 2.3 how were you able to do that when the E2 only goes in 5. Like from 2.25 to 2.5 etc. I know you can make those sizes with the gypsy but you can't cut from that with these carts. Am I missing something

Candice, great question, you can size your e2 to cut in 1/10th increments. Click on the settings button and then click on the button that looks like a Cricut machine. You will be able to set in 1/10ths now:) Hope this helps!
