Fourth of July Rocket Favors

I fell in love with these cute rocket favors that were featured in the July 2011 issue of Martha Stewart Living. I modified them and just had to share. These would be super cute to use as party favors for your Fourth of July celebration! If you click here you can print out templates and digital paper to use. I wanted to use my own paper so I used their template for a pattern.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!!!

Happy Fourth of July!

We will be spending the Fourth of July with my sister and family in Washington and I can’t wait. Lucky for us, we have a wonderful and generous house sitter! Thanks Miss Betsy and Grace!

I was inspired by a card that I saw on Emma’s blog. I love her work and just had to modify her card for the Fourth of July.

This card measures 5 ½ x 4 ¼ inches and of course, I used my new Spellbinders. Can you tell I am addicted?

Hope you are all planning to have a fun time during the Fourth! Be sure to stop back on Wednesday for a quick and easy Fourth of July project and video!

More Fun with the Cuttlebug!

Last week I made a fun video on how to use the Cuttlebug to cut and emboss Spellbinder’s Nestabilites. I also demonstrated how to use the Cuttlebug to make metallic looking embossed paper using duct tape.

After making the video, I decided to try embossing other types of paper.  Please watch the video to see what I discovered.  Hint… it involves napkins, tissue paper, suede paper, freezer paper and envelopes.

Have a great day and be sure to stop in Thursday for a fun Terrifically Talented Thursday!

You Make the Perfect Pair

This anniversary card was inspired by a card in this month’s Paper Crafts magazine. I fell in love with the shoes and had to make a similar, yet different card.

The outside of the card measures 5 ¼ x 6 ¾ inches and the shoes (page 54) are cut at 5 ¼ inches. I used the Forever Young cartridge for the shoes and the flower. The flower is cut at 2- 1/8 inches and is located on page 71. I also used two labels from the small labels set from Spellbinders and used Word for the sentiment. I added Glossy Accents to the heels and pop dotted most of the images. I love the blue glitter paper.

I used Word for the sentiment. This is one of my favorite quotes!

Have a great Monday!

Happy Birthday Fashionista!

Today, I want to share with you my design project for Creative Critterz Imaginations Blog.

I got the idea for this card from the first issue of the Cricut magazine and just had to make it. My card is different, but somewhat similar. I have all the issues of the Cricut magazine and get tons of ideas from the magazine.

I cut a piece of cream card stock 4 x 6.75 inches for the base card. I used paper from the Audrey cartridge for the printed layer. I printed on cream card stock to get a softer effect. I love cream and black. The dress form is cut at 3.7 inches and is from the French Manor cartridge. I cut the label using the Labels Four set from Spellbinders. The tag is cut at 1.4 inches and is from the Wrap it Up cartridge. I used Word for the sentiment and added pearls.

I cut the labels using the Labels Four set from Spellbinders and used Word for the sentiment.

Recipe:
Audrey Imagine Cartridge
Wrap it Up Cartridge
French Manor Cartridge
Spellbinders Labels Four set
Adhesive and pop-dots
Pearls from my stash
Cream card stock for the base card and labels

I just discovered Craft, Coffee, Cat and love her blog. Be sure to check out her typewriter card, it is super cute. I so love the name of her blog! Nicky has been featured in a number of publications!

Thank You Card

I found this retro ribbon on the clearance rack and could not wait to make a card to match. Every once in awhile, I like to challenge myself to only use solid colors. Red, black and white are a fun color combination and I so like how this card turned out.

The base card measures 6 x 4 ¾ inches. I used the Labels Four dies from Spellbinders Nestabilites and I am now seriously addicted to them! To see a video on how to use your Cuttlebug to cut and emboss Nestabilites, please click here. I also used my Cuttlebug to add some embossing. Lastly, I added some bling and pop dotted the Nestabilities. This may be the quickest thank you card ever!

I used Word to create both the inside and outside sentiments. This quote is one of my all-time favorites!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are having a great Monday!

Baby Card

Today, I want to share with you my design project for Creative Critterz Imaginations Blog. I am seriously addicted to all things Theresa Collins and love my new Baby Boutique Imagine Cartridge. This week, I thought I would share a baby boy card with you.

I cut a piece of white card stock 4.25 x 5.5 inches for the base card. I used paper from this cartridge to add the next layer which measures 4 x 5.25 inches. Next, I added a ribbon, a bow and a layered 3 inch image from page 6. Also, I just had to add some rhinestones for extra bling.

For the inside, I used more paper from this amazing cartridge. The inside paper measures 4 x 5.25 inches. I added a Word sentiment and was done. To see my video on to using Word to add sentiments to your cards and Cricut images, please click here.

The envelope is from the Plantin cartridge and flood filled using paper from Baby Boutique. For an A2 envelope, I sized it at 5.25 inches. I know I am repeating myself, but I love to use the Imagine to make matching envelopes!

Recipe:
Theresa Collin’s Baby Boutique Imagine Cartridge
Plantin Cartridge for the envelope
Adhesive and pop-dots
Ribbon and rhinestones from my stash
White card stock for the base card

Thanks for visiting and have a fun filled weekend!

Update: Link added above for using Word to add a sentiment to your cards.

I recently saw a post on the Cricut message board and was so impressed. Ginaballoons created an amazing carousel out of paper animals. You just have to see it! All the three-dimensional animals are made out of paper. Wow!

Monogram Purse Box with Matching Cards and Envelopes

Today, I want to share with you my design project for Creative Critterz Imaginations Blog.
I just bought the new Theresa Collin’s Baby Boutique Imagine Cartridge and I could not be happier! It is a must buy!

I love monograms and thought it would be fun to make a cute gift set for my mother-in-law. Her last name starts with a K and lucky for me, this cartridge comes with an entire alphabet. Yahoo!

The purse is from the Forever Young cartridge and is on page 70. It is cut at fit-to-page and flood filled with paper from the Baby Boutique cartridge. The monogram is on page 20 and cut at 2.8 inches. I did not cut the layers, but next time I will! I added a couple of black rhinestones, ribbon and pop dotted the monogram.

As part of the gift, I plan to include 4 cards with matching envelopes. Too cute!
The cards measure 3 inches x 3 inches. I flood filled a 2.9 inch square and a 2.8 inch square with papers to match. Lastly, I added ribbon and pop dotted a 2.5 inch monogram with black rhinestones to each card.

Just in case you want to make your own 3 x 3 inch envelopes and liners, the measurements are below. For additional assembly information you may want to view my video on how to make envelopes and liners using both the original Scor-Pal and the Martha Stewart Score Board.

Cut one piece of paper 7-7/8 x 5-1/4 inches. With 4-1/4 inch side going along the top on the board…score each side at the one inch mark. Turn paper so the 7-7/8 inch side is along the top and score at 2 and 5-1/4 inches. Cut one piece of paper 3 x 4 inches for the liner. I rounded all corners.

Recipe:
Theresa Collin’s Baby Boutique Imagine Cartridge
Forever Young Cricut Cartridge
Adhesive and pop-dots
Ribbon and rhinestones from my stash
White card stock for the 3 inch x 3 inch cards

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
