This week I thought I would start off with something new, jewelry making using stamps. I am a mega fan of Stamp TV and couldn’t wait to share this fun post. If you are looking for a new hobby, start by watching this video. I see homemade jewelry in my future!

I recently saw a post on the Cricut message board and was so impressed. Ginaballoons created an amazing carousel out of paper animals. You just have to see it! All the three-dimensional animals are made out of paper. Wow!

Guess what? This month there are going to be three Hello Thursdays! Can you believe it? The fun starts today and continues for two more Thursdays. I am so excited and be sure to check out the new Cricut Blog for more information. This is going to be fun!

Walk in my garden is one of my all-time favorite cartridges and I was so excited to see this adorable wall hanging  made with this cartridge. Melissa, from Melissa’s Scrappen Place used WIMG for all the cuts except the sentiment which is from the wild card cartridge.

Did you buy the new Cricut Expression2? I am excited to announce that I ordered mine and it should be here two days before my birthday! Yahoo happy birthday to me! If you ordered one or would like more information, here is the best tutorial ever! Matt and Christie do an outstanding job explaining all the features. I can’t wait until mine arrives. In the meantime, I am going to watch this video again!

Yesterday I posted my video on how to make fabric and tissue tape. I just came across a video from Psychomoms on how to make the Tim Holtz type of tissue tape using first aid paper tape. Clever idea and the tape is only $3.00 a roll. Who knew!

Be sure to check out Paper Craft Planet’s blog to see a set of stamped tea lights and an adorable slide top box designed by Lori Tecler. There is also a free link to the box template. Super cute!

I just placed an order for a set of Spellbinder’s label die cuts. Can you believe I don’t own a single one? Since I am a newbie, I just had to check out their blog. If you are looking for ideas be sure to check out this blog. I can’t wait to get my order!

Just when I thought, I had seen all the flower tutorials, I discovered another great technique video from My Butterfly Kisses. This tutorial demonstrates how to make gorgeous silk lollipops flowers. They are stunning!

I love this card by Kristina Werner. It is so simple yet beautiful. Kristina features a card and video every Monday and I try to watch them each week. If you haven’t checked out her Make a Card Monday video series (MACM) you are in for a treat!

I am seriously addicted to DCWV paper and own tons of their amazing card stacks. Their papers are easy to use, perfectly coordinated, can be purchased at Michaels or Jo-Ann Fabrics and you can even use a coupon to get a great deal! DCWV recently published an updated list of all their stacks and I just had to share. Have you ever purchased the same thing twice? I know I have and this will help me organize my paper stacks. Whew!

Kate from Small Bits of Paper recently participated in an Autism Awareness Blog hop and featured an adorable lamb card with a twist. Be sure to stop in for a visit and while you are there you may also want to check out the blog hop.

Yesterday I posted a video on how to make quick and easy zipper flowers. Here is a video by Evange demonstrating a more advanced zipper flower. I love her flower and am going to give it a try.

I can’t wait to order the new Cricut cartridge, Every Day Pop- up cards. In fact, I hope to pick one up at Michaels this weekend. As you probably know, there have been a lot of questions as to how to use this cartridge. I thought I would provide several links that will help you figure it out. Katie has several tutorials on her blog, Crafting with Katie showing how to make the pop-ups and also how to layer them. Lisa posted a video on YouTube with step by step instructions on how to make decorative paper circles using Martha Stewart corner paper punches. I can’t wait to try this technique.

Speaking of corner punches, here is another great video on how to make decorative circles with paper punches. Veronica Chambers gives tons of examples using MS punches and information for different sizes. I may be wrong, but I think she owns every MS corner punch.

I love Graphic 45 and visit their blog frequently. Kathryn of the Life on the {Scrap} Beach blog has designed an amazing album using their new Steampunk line. Be sure to scroll down so you do not miss any of her pages. Wow!

Last weekend, I did all the updates to my Gypsy and Imagine and all went well! My Gypsy and my Imagine are now working as a team! For those of you waiting to take the plunge, here is a very informative video from She’s Crafty on how to link and manage your Imagine cartridges and more! If you are thinking about buying the Imagine, this video will give you more incentive to buy!

One of the new features on the Imagine is the proportional rectangles and She’s Crafty came up with a chart on how to use the proportional rectangles to make rectangles of virtually any size. She even filmed a video and made a chart that I keep by my Imagine. Thanks!

I love making flowers and here is a fun technique by Melanie Schulenberg on making roses with just a strip of paper! This is on my must try list!

Yesterday I posted a fun video all about buttons and my friend Katie, suggested that I visit this post. The new button boutique set from Paper trey Ink is amazing just like this shadow box from Erin. Everything but string (to tie in the buttons), ribbon (around spools), and rhinestone brad (scissors) is made out of paper. If time, check out Erin’s blog, Procrastination Station to see more great ideas. Also you don’t want to miss my friend, Crafting with Katie’s blog, she is sooo talented. And she loves buttons too!

Speaking of Crafting with Katie, she also told me about this fun new blog, The Craft Hot Spot. This blog was created by Momo and Paula who according to their profiles wanted everyone to have a place where they could come and have a schedule of all the Craft Related Events, Blog Hops, Giveaways, Swaps, UStreams, and much more. What a great concept! I am approaching my one year YouTube anniversary and I am so going to promote my giveaway on this site. Did I mention that Katie is super smart too? Thanks Katie for the link.

Now for the new videos, I promised you. First, check out this video on how to make spiral fabric flowers by SaCrafter. This is not an ordinary flower video, SaCrafter shows you how to color and add shimmer to your fabric. Once she has created the fabric she makes some really beautiful and simple fabric flowers.

The next video is from Robin at Robin’s Creative Cottage and shows how to make and emboss boxes using plastic. Too clever and it looks super simple.

The last video is from Hero Arts and demonstrates a new layered stamped backgrounds technique that has a watercolor look.

Creating in Carolina is a fun blog that features beautiful and fun cards. I know you will love Cely’s site as much as I do.

I fell in love with this slider card video. For detailed instructions, visit her blog, Scrappy Sticky Inky Mess. The free downloadable instructions are posted on the right hand side. Her instructions are so easy to follow and I can’t wait to make a slider card!

I love gable boxes and found this how-to video by Splitcoaststampers to be one of the best. For detailed pictures and written instructions, click here. I love their site and visit often.

Most of you know that I am a huge Teresa Collins fan and this is my all-time favorite collection. Check out her website to see all her new papers. I can’t wait to get her new Cricut and Imagine cartridges. According to her blog, the release date is the first week of May for the Teresa Collins Imagine cartridge and the release for the Cricut cartridge is mid June.

Martha Stewart is featuring over 48 of her best clip art designs for free. Click here to see her entire collection. The stylish black and white papers and wrapping sleeves are featured here. I know this was originally for Christmas, but it is the perfect year round paper. I plan to use her papers to wrap my next gift.

Flowers were everywhere this year at CHA and I discovered this video on how to make baby Prima flowers with your Cricut. I love Kathy’s ideas and her blog Paper Phenomenon is amazing! So are her videos!

I bet you all have seen a number of posts and videos on how to make your Cricut mat sticky again, I know I have. However, this is the first video I have seen on how to actually make a mat. I have not tried making my own mat, but I am going to give it a try as it looks so easy.

Recently, I was watching the Today show and saw Danny Green. He has an eco-friendly website with very innovative craft projects. If you stop in for a visit, be sure and check out his wine cork shower mat and his perfume art flowers. He is a master at recycling and has written several wonderful books!

I am so impressed with the new collections from Graphic 45 and love this card designed by Gloria Stengel for Graphic 45. Her work is amazing!

I am featuring two links from Paper Trey Ink this week! The first link is an announcement regarding their new color swatch flip book! Click here for more details and to download a free page. There are also several cute projects made with the different color themes.

The second link is to a very creative video on how to use sentiments to make quick and easy cards. This would also work with Cricut cuts! Click here to view this fun and easy technique.

PS We’re always learning here at Paper Boutique and one of the things we learned was how to render my SCAL video so that it is clearer and sharper. To make a long story short, after many hours of trying different settings and different software, we finally have a version that is much sharper and shows more detail.
