An Oldie but a Goodie

I will be back with  an all new post on Friday, but in the meantime I thought you might enjoy one of my favorite videos. I love making rosettes and decided to make one out of duct tape!

I love how the duct tape looks like metallic paper and it is so easy to make. Hope you enjoy the video.

You might also enjoy my video on how to make paper rosettes.

Thanks for visiting and please stop back for an all new Fab Five Friday!
Happy Holidays!

I love rosettes also but have a hard time getting them to stay together. They either come apart where I glue or they pop up and won't stay in a flat position. What am I doing wrong?

I agree with tndj, I also am having trouble making rosettes. When my ribbons and rosettes cart arrived I was so happy, but I still struggle with them. They rip before I can attach them.

Jan

Tndj, you may want to try using a cool temp glue gun and use lots of glue. Hope this helps.

Linda, I love your blog. Who would have ever thought duct tape. Guess it's not just the "man tool" after all. Thanks for ahsring all of your wonderful ideas. I'm so happy I found your blog.

Just thought I'd give a hint on keeping the rosettes together while drying . . . I use the plastic lid of Pringles or some other container (you can find them in all sizes) to hold the paper in the shape. Then I take a punched circle, add hot glue, and put it in the center. Leave it in the lid for a minute or two then take it out and add another circle to the other side. The lid allows me the option of shaping the folds perfectly. Hope this helps . . .

Hi Linda just saw the video on the cameos. I found cameos on ebay. You just have to make sure they are the right size for your project. There are ladies and flowers really cute. I also ordered larger cameos of dog breeds from Brenda Greathouse on e bay. Her address is 3098 S. Cherokee Ln. Woodstock, Ga 30188. Hope this helps you. Happy New Year

OMG I have seen you do the other ones using the MS score board - how did I miss the one you did with the duct tape? :(. That looked so cool and will try that for sure. Thanks for sharing.
