How to Make a Quick and Easy Floral Bow Using a Homemade Tool

I always wish that I had an extra hand when tying floral bows, so I came up with this homemade tool to make it easier. The tool takes less than 3 minutes to make and is made out of a paper box that you find at a grocery store. Don’t laugh…it so works and it is a green project!

I love learning from all of you and I would love to hear your bow tying tips! Enjoy the video!

(I'm having a little trouble with YouTube) Update:Solved! Watch below!

Stay tuned for a fun filled Fab Five Friday.

Okay, so it's a little funny that you use a box...But, it's pure genius, in disguise! I love fussy wrapping. With a meager income, the packaging often exceeds the gifts themselves. Frustration led me to give up on this type of bow, long ago. I will be employing this technique, and trying again. Thank you!

Thanks everyone. Hopefully I will have my video on this page soon. Technical issues! Yikes!

You make it look easy. I have a bow maker and still could not get them looking like that. TFS

I love this tutorial. I have never heard of "ribbon wire" can you tell us where to get it?

Cindy, thanks for the question. The ribbon wire that I used is called Bow Wire and it is made by Bowdabra. It comes in packages of 50 ft and you can buy either silver or gold. I bought mine at Michaels. Sorry I can't remember how much it was.

Hope this helps!
