How to Turn a Cricut Purse or Any 3-D Purse into an Accordion Purse

One of my favorite Cricut cartridges is Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More and one of the reasons I love it so much is that I think the purses are adorable. I have made tons of purses from that cartridge and decided it would be fun to turn them into accordion purses. You are going to love this easy technique!

This technique will work on any 3D purse and it is so easy!! Please scroll down to watch the video.

Thanks for visiting and please stay tuned for a fun Fab Five Friday!

So So Cute.... belong to the Ladies Auxilary for the Veterans of Foreign War, and every few months we have a Pizza, Purses and Watch party. This will be excellent table decorations or Party favors with goodies inside.

I loved this little purse. However, I am confused as to how to punch the little holes to keep it from pulling the magnet off. I want to make a few for the grandkids, but am not sure of the punched part. Am I the only one? Your fingernails co-ordinated with the purse. Beautiful.

Dianne, thanks for the nice comment and question. I used a paper punch and punched out four small circles. Next I glued 2 of the circles to the center of one magnet and two circles to the center of the other magnet. This weakens the magnet so they don't rip the paper.

Hope this helps.

Love the accordian purse, thanks for the video tutorial. I've learned so many great crafting tips here. One thing I would probably change if giving the purse to a person with small children or pets is to use something like Velcro instead of magnets, as the magnets are very dangerous if swallowed.

I love your video and idea for the purse, but......I can't seem to get my Cricut to cut @ 11.37".

What do I need to do to cut. The machine just beeps at me that it will not fit to cut.
