Halloween Pillow Box and Paper Bow

I saw a Halloween pillow box in this month’s issue of Paper Crafts magazine and I just had to make one. Mine is a little different, however I was definitely inspired by the one in the magazine.

For this project, I purchased a pillow box from the Silhouette On-line store, but you could also use a Cricut cut. There is an adorable pillow box on the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and on the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge plus a few others. I used the Cameo software and cut a circle out of my pillow box. You could use Cricut Craft Room or a circle punch to do the same. I used a silhouette file for the bats, but there are also adorable bats on the Happy Haunting Cartridge.

I added a stamped sentiment and a homemade paper bow to my project and was done! Stay tuned for a fun video on making paper bows, including an adorable storage box for your bows. I hope to have the video posted on Wednesday. Warning….they are adorable and addicting. You may never want to use ribbon again!

Thanks for visiting and have a hauntingly happy Monday! Can you tell Halloween is one of my favorite holidays?

I looked for the pillow box on Silhoutte but only found one...showing the closing on the front. Did you use the back for your decoration? I am asking because I want to use this for my Stamp Club meeting. Looking forward to the bow tutorial. Thanks

For the purpose of analytical processing a special database technique called star schema is used.
