Izzy

I am taking another blogging day off due to a very sick cat. Izzy our 7 year old cat is suffering from massive seizures and at this point may not make it. Our vet is one of the best in our state and is doing everything she can for our fur baby. She had to put her in a kitty comma to save her. We got to visit Izzy today in kitty hospital and it may be our last chance to be with her.

Our other adopted cat Jackson, misses her and goes around the house crying. So sad to watch.

Thanks for listening and I hope to be back on Friday.

In the meantime, here are a few photos of Izzy helping me craft. Her nickname is trouble. Can you tell?

Here is Izzy sleeping on my laptop. She refuses to be ignored.

She likes the TV off so she can be the center of attention.

Silly cat, she thinks her ears are invisible.

Izzy sleeping on my crafting table. I mean her cat sofa.

My furbabies are my children so I can imagine how devastating this is for you. My heart goes out to you. I lost my littleboy 2 years ago (he was 15 and my constant companion) and I still miss and think about him all the time. I will hold a good thought for you that it will all work out as it should.

Blessings to you,(and a furbaby hug)
Peggy

Prays go out to you and your family. One of my 2 kitties was sick a few weeks ago and I thought I was going to lose her(she's just a year and the runt of the litter) and I was devastated. They are so much a part of our lives, so much closer to us sometimes than our own family. Huge hugs to you.

Oh, Linda! My heart goes out to you and your family! While I'm mainly a "dog person", I love all kinds of critters - and kitty cats are no exception! In any case, I know how much our pets can mean to us, and I also know how hard it is to watch them suffer, or grow old, etc. I especially know how gut-wrenching it is to have to make the difficult decisions involved with their health. I'm grateful that God gives us animals that we can have as part of our families - and it very much looks like Izzy is just that. I especially love the picture of "just her ears" showing behind the monitor! Instead of "rabbit ears", you have kitty ears! Thanks for the update - and take all the time you need. Your faithful followers will "be here" for you when you get back!

Lord, I lift up our friend, Linda to you, along with the rest of her family, during this tough time. I pray that you would give them wisdom as to what is in Izzy's best interests. Thank you for leading them to a vet that they have every confidence in, that will be able to help them make these decisions. Comfort them as only you can, dear Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen. {{{hugs}}} Doris

Thanks everyonefor your wonderful comments and many emails.

Now for an update on Izzy. I posted last night at midnight so our first visit was Tuesday afternoon. Our wonderful Vet called this morning and Izzy had a good night with no seizures. They think she has idiopathic epilespy, but they can not be sure. Our Vet,Dr. Brenda said Izzy has improved and I am on my way to visit.

Dr. Brenda is somewhat optimistic, but at this point she said anything can happen.

Thanks again for all your kind words. They mean a lot to us!
