Meet Mila!

As you may know, we went through a difficult time recently when we lost my crafting buddy Izzy from epilepsy. We were determined to wait awhile before getting another cat, but encouragement from my sister, niece and sad looks  from our remaining cat Jackson convinced us to start looking for another kitten.  Jackson looked lost without Izzy.  As luck would have it, our local animal shelter had a cute little black and white furball that seemed to be saying, "take me home".  It was love at first sight for both my husband and myself.

Mila was given a clean bill of health by our vet and we took her home. We isolated her in another room to give Jackson time to get used to her and prepare the house for a new kitten. The first few days that we let them out together were tense as Jackson was curious and hissed at her.

After a couple days, they became fast friends as long as Jackson gets the top bunk!

A couple more days and they became even better friends.

Play time!

I caught it! Now what?

Hugs for everyone!

Thanks again for all your kind words, emails and comments regarding Izzy.  They meant so much to us and helped ease the pain.

Linda

Mila is adorable. I have five cats myself and it's tough bringing in a new one but you really lucked out. They are so cute together. Congrats.

Milo is beautiful! I too said no more pets after I lost my cat at the age of 21. But 9 months later, my hubby convinced me(it really wasn't all that hard) to adopt 2 kittens. And these two cause more trouble than any of the 2 dogs and 3 cats I owned ever caused, but I won't trade them in for anything!

Hi Mila! It is so good to meet you. You are a very lucky cat to move in with such a fun family and especially to have Jackson to play with. You are beautiful.

So cute! We just lost our cat last week, from cancer. We had him for 14 years. The kids want a new kitten, but I don't know if I am ready!! Or even want to do this "pet thing" again. Losing them is so hard.

Hugs to you Linda, I have written to you before about how much we had in common. But now it's even harder to imagine that we are not sisters from different motherss. We to have a rather LARGE cat who gets on top of all of my things I happen to be working on. And we to got a new kitty. We are afraid of loosing our 15 yr. old puppy. So we got the big catt a playmate because the dog just doesn't have the energy anymore. I'm so sorry for your loss of Izzy. Hugs, Sheshe(Victoria Roberge)
