After all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, it was time to take some time off and take a trip. We usually take an annual trip to Yellowstone National Park this time of year, and this year was no exception. If you've been to Yellowstone National Park in the summer, it is almost like a different park in the winter. All the grass is covered with a blanket of snow and frost glistens everywhere.
My husband enjoys photography and had quite a day shooting animals and landscapes. Here are are few of my favorites.
Emigrant Peak, just north of the park boundary.
This is an area in the north-east corner of Yellowstone National Park. The creek is Soda Butte Creek on the edge of Round Prairie.
A Little farther upstream of Soda Butte Creek, is this view of Barronette Peak.
This was a 6x6 Bull Elk we saw near Lava Creek.
Big Horn Sheep, just north of the park boundary.
Gray Wolves near Soda Butte in the Lamar Valley. They crossed the highway fairly close to us and it was quite amazing to see such beautiful animals.
That's all for now as we close out another year. Happy New Year to all and see you next year with more crafts and projects!

Simply beautiful...thank you for sharing the pictures with a midwesterner aching for a chance to wander.
wow Linda, what fabulous shots, love the wild life he captured, happy new year to you and yours, hugs
Beautiful pictures! Hope you scrap them as they are too good to let go. I was in Colorado years ago and saw wildlife up close, took pics and lost track of them - how I would love to use them on cards. Thanks for the great shots.
Linda
Amazing photos.
I was so impressed with the wolves being so close. They are such magnificent animals. Of course the elk was pretty impressive too.
Thank you so much for sharing with us. I love these kind of photos.

Linda, Thank you so much for posting these pictures. Sometimes we only get to see things through the eyes of others and this is one of those times. It must have felt so wonderful to be so close to the animals and the landscape alike. Thanks again. Sammi
