Fab Five Friday……Claudine Hellmuth Style!

Fab Five Friday will return next Friday since today is all about Claudine Hellmuth. Last week, I received the nicest email from Claudine, thanking me for my Silhouette tutorials and telling me how helpful they have been to her. I was so honored and immediately did my happy dance. Claudine is a wonderful artist, designer, illustrator and author, and I am so humbled by her kind comments.

I love the free retro eyeglasses print and cut file and just had to share it with all of you. In fact, this is her first SVG freebie ever! Yahoo!

Claudine even posted a video on how to set up this adorable print and cut file. I can’t wait to try making these retro glasses! Wonder how they will look on our cats?

Also check out her video below on how to make faux glazed paper. She is a mixed media guru and a multi-talented lady!

I hope you are having a wonderful day and thanks again Claudine for making my day perfect!

Quick and Easy Purse.... Holds ChapStick or Mini Nail Polish

I got the idea for this adorable purse from Maria who designed a similar purse and displayed it at the Graphic 45 booth during CHA. Maria’s purse was glued shut, but I thought it would be fun to make a purse that would open and close. I made a few minor changes to her design and can’t wait to share them with you. The purse is the perfect size to hold ChapStick or small nail polish. Make sure you check out Maria’s purse here. She is mega talented and I love all her work so be sure to check out her blog, Paperiah! Thanks Maria for the great idea!

I used Samantha Walker’s Tradition Collection and her fun stickers and was done. Super easy and no cutting machine required.

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday!

Make it in Minutes Monday…… Kiss the Cook!

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday… the Mini Series. I thought it would be fun to feature some quick and easy cards or projects that take minutes to make, but look like you spent hours.

My husband made several delicious and different homemade pizzas for the Super Bowl and I thought he so deserved a thank you card! I purchased the A2 Cook’s apron card from the Silhouette on-line store and modified it slightly. I created a personalized sentiment and then printed it on cardstock using my printer and cut it out using the Silhouette print and cut function. Super easy and I can use any font I have to make it perfect! If I want to, I can make it any color to match my card, but this time I chose black.

Have a wonderful week and just in case you are wondering, I did kiss the cook!

I love her color choices. The blue with the dark counter is striking! There is a tutorial on how to make the herringbone trim! You are going to love this post.

Don’t you love her subway art and yes she has a tutorial on how she made it. And guess what, she did not use an electronic cutting machine to do it!

Have a happy and organized week and don’t forget to stop back tomorrow to see a card I made for my hubbie!

I fell in love with this recipe and have made over 10 batches....some with bananas, some with pumpkin and the best-ever with no sugar added, canned pineapple! Finally, a quick and healthy cookie! I used Old Fashioned Quaker Oats and chopped my oats fairly fine and they turned out great. The cooking times will vary as mine only took 12 minutes. Thanks Burlap Bag!

My sister sent me this link several months ago and I can’t wait to try making mercury glass. Click here for a detailed tutorial courtesy of Living Well and Spending Less.
