I also did something similar with all my many, many spools of ribbon. I used the cardboard that bias tape is wrapped around (these are from the tape I used on the Little Dresses for Africa that I've made)
Oh, I adore this! I am very tempted to redo all my twine that is wrapped up on rectangular pieces of paper and make these. Too cute.
