Craft Room Makeover!

I am so happy to be back in my craft room and I could not wait to share my journey with you!

My craft room is 10 feet x 10 feet so my goal was to make use of every square inch and to try to make it look larger than it is. I still have work to do, but it is almost finished . I also plan to do a video in the near future. Scroll down to see the after photos!

Now for the before photos!

The room started out as a small work area and and grew to a small work area with lots of stuff in it! Most of the furnishings came from craft stores and Staples.

Notice all the dark wood, mauve carpet and the vintage TV. I am pleased to say they are gone!

This is what was behind those dark doors.

This my second closet. It was a controlled mess before my husband added shelves.

Here are a few in-progress photos

Before I show you the after photos, I want to thank my husband for doing a lot of the work. We had the cabinets and carpet installed, but he did the rest! And a special thanks to all of you for your patience with all my late posts and reruns! I so missed crafting!

After painting the room twice, we finally found the perfect shade of gray. I love the gray and white and decided to do teal as my accent color. The cabinet on the bottom right is where I store all my Anna Griffin supplies. Be sure to click on the photos to enlarge them.

We replaced the closet doors and I was lucky to find the perfect gray carpet. Bill painted the entire room including all the trim and doors. With all the white trim and doors, the room looks larger than 10 feet x 10 feet!

I love how this closet looks now! I purchased lots of plastic boxes and labeled them all. This photo does not show the rest of the closet, but I will make a video in the near future.

I had room for a stand-alone cupboard and just had to add it. This is my Cricut and Cuttlebug cabinet.

This is my main work area! I love the picture. I have ordered teal mini blinds, but they have not arrived yet. Door knobs for the closets were lost in the shuffle, but will be purchased and installed soon.

This shows the new shelves in my second closet.

Thanks again for all your support during the remodel. I am planning on doing a video in the near future!

And a special thanks to my husband Bill for all his amazing efforts! Have a wonderful day!

Hi Linda. Your room looks great. So clean and neat and organized. Its funny how I started my room tucking things away, then I liked the open concept of having things out and now I am liking the cabinet look again. I spoke to my husband a few months ago about buying the kitchen cabinet for my room. LOL. The things these men put up with. But as they say, happy wife happy life.
Your room is beautiful Can't wait to see the video of the room tour. Ana

Wonderful craft room!! I only wish I could convert mine into a complete crafting center but unfortunately it is also the guest bedroom so I have to save some room for it. Love the cabinets and the closet shelving. I looked into cabinets also but my hubby just smiled and walked away-maybe some day!!!! Enjoy your new room...
