I recently purchased Anna Griffin’s bow die set from HSN and could not be happier! As most of you know I love making bows!

Anna’s bows were so much fun to make! I hope you enjoy the video.

Below are a few of the videos that I referred to in the above video, just in case you missed them.

On this video, I demonstrate how to use Anna’s dies with the Cuttlebug.

Make it in Minutes Monday

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.
As most of you know, I have a lot of Anna Griffin products and I am a huge fan of her work. Today I thought I would combine several of her products and make an anniversary card for my sister.

As most of you know, I have a lot of Anna Griffin products and I am a huge fan of her work. Today, I thought I would combine several of her products and make an anniversary card for my sister.

The gold glitter scroll is from the Anna Griffin Christmas card kit that I purchased two years ago. I love how you can use her Christmas stickers for different occasions. The background card, layer and flowers are from Anna’s Garden Window Card kit. This is my favorite kit ever! I love making my own designs using her products!

Anna’s sentiments are breathtaking, but I am thrilled that I can make my own using her Chalkboard Sentiment Stamp Set that I purchased from HSN. First, I stamped the sentiment using gold ink and hand cut around the image leaving a border. Then I stamped the sentiment again using the green ink that came in the kit and trimmed around the image. Lastly, I used dimensional foam to pop the image. This set is too much fun!

Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!

Tim Holtz has been busy! At CHA he introduced the “year of distress” ! According to Tim, Ranger is releasing 12 new colors throughout 2015 – one color each month. Instead of focusing on a specific product category, we are launching the new color in the various products including ink pad, reinker, marker, stain, spray stain, and paint. The new color for January is called cracked pistachio, a bright retro green that compliments the rest of the distress palette. And guess what? The monthly release will be a tightly held secret! Click here to read all about it from Tim!

I know many of us are trying to eat healthier and this post will help. I am feeling a bit rushed this month and I am so thrilled that I found this post on how to prep food fast! Click here to read the entire post.

Hope you are having a Fab Five Friday!

Interactive Mini Album

My sister Di sent me this Cat in the Hat book she made for a friend’s daughter and I could not wait to share it with you. As most of you know Di, my much younger sister was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on October 7th and is undergoing chemotherapy, but still has a long road ahead of her. Her husband recently started a fund raising campaign to help with the cost of her treatments. If you would like to contribute please click here. Thank you for all your calls, emails, and support. It means the world to us!

You can purchase a vintage Cat in the Hat book at a tag or garage sale and re-purpose it into a great mini album. Di used several vintage Dr. Seuss books to make the embellishments.

Her stunning book has over 35 places to add photos or journaling. Here is a photo of one of the pages totally open.

The vibrant colors are striking!

There are so many hidden places for photos and journaling.

The pearls are a perfect touch.

Please see the complete video tour below.

Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!

Make it in Minutes Monday

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

I used the dove valentine shaped card file (#72826) from the Silhouette on-line store to make this elegant and easy Valentine ’s Day card.

My Cameo cut the details perfectly and in no time at all. Next time, I am going to use my embossing folders to add more texture to the dove!

Cutting Anna Griffin Dies with Sizzix BIGkick

I recently purchased a Sizzix BIGkick and I love it even more than my Anna Griffin Cuttlebug! Several months ago I filmed a video using the Cuttlebug and the cuts turned out fine. However, I have to admit that using the Sizzix BIGkick is so much easier. I would love to hear from all of you as to what machine you prefer. In the meantime, please enjoy the video!

Please keep in mind I am a BIGkick newbie and would love to hear any suggestions that you all might have!

Have a great day and thanks so much for watching!

Make it in Minutes Monday

Make it in Minutes Monday with the Cricut Explore

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

Did I mention that I love the Cricut Make it Now projects for the Cricut Explore? In fact today we should title the post Make it Now Monday!

I customized the Gold valentine and Envelope Make it Now project by changing up the colors and adding a liner to the card. I used red glitter paper from DCVW and silver glitter paper from Recollections. I used the glitter paper setting and it cut like butter! I used my paper cutter to cut a liner for the inside of the card, but you could also do that using your machine.

Here is another Make it Now project that I made several months ago. This would be perfect for Valentine’s Day too!

The Make it Now instructions said to cut the letters out of vinyl, but I decided to try to push the Cricut Explore and cut them out of textured paper I had in my stash. I was amazed at how cleanly the Explore cut the lettering and images. Click here to see my original post.

Hope you and your family are having a wonderful new year!

Simply Organized Sunday

Welcome to Simply Organized Sunday…SOS for short. Every Sunday I showcase blogs, websites or posts that provide innovative approaches to organizing and designing your craft space as well as other areas in your home.

One of my goals for 2015 is to become more organized and thanks to BHG, that just might happen. Over the past two years I have seen tons of great organizational ideas, but BHG has come up with some new ones that I think you will want to check out.

What a novel idea to hang a wire mesh utensil organizer near your door to use for sun glasses, keys, etc. You could even use idea this in your craft room.

I love the idea of using vintage luggage for more storage space.

This may be the most novel idea ever! Who knew you could turn an ordinary shoe organizer into a stylish buffet. Wow!

I have a huge collection of binder clips and use them for almost everything, but I would have never thought to use them to organize my napkins. Another unique idea to try!

When more space is needed you can add stenciled letters to a shelf to designate days of the week, and repositionable clips to hold reminders and to-dos for each day.

Be sure to click here for 18 more ideas!

Hope you are having a happy organized New Year!
