Manito Park

We decided to take a long weekend trip to Spokane, Washington. Spokane is a city of about 215,000 and is a great place to take in local eateries, the river walk, and especially this hidden gem, Manito Park. We went hoping for fall colors and got lucky. My husband Bill  took these amazing photos.

Bridge over the Koi pond.

Another view or the Koi pond.

Wouldn't you like to sit on that bench?

Looking up into the canopy.

A farewell view of the Japanese Gardens.

The park has four other gardens as well. This one featured displays of tall grasses. The tallest clumps in back are at least six feet tall.

The neighborhoods around Manito Park are beautiful as well. I would love to drive this view everyday!

I hope you enjoyed photos from our short trip and please come back next week for more fun projects and ideas.

Oh my word!... your hubby's a fantastic photographer. Such gorgeousness of God's creation captured in a moment by Bill.... It leaves a person awestruck!

Hope it's OK that I "pinned" a few to my Autumn board, giving Bill credit (I hope his last name is Kaiser, too! If not, please let me know and I'll change them)
