Guest Artist...Machine Embroidered Pillows

My friend Kristine is a wonderful quilter and I fell in love with these pillows and just had to share. Kristine started quilting in the late 90's by making vests and jackets and made her first quilt in 1996.

Kristine used the Forest Flower Buck from Embroidery Library for this spectacular pillow! Kristine used her Husqvarna Viking Designer Epic for embroidery and her Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 960Q to make the pillows.

Kristine purchased her first embroidery machine (Husqvarna Viking Designer 1) in 2007. The designs come with Madeira thread color assignments and Kristine uses mostly Sulky or Isacord thread so she edits the color numbers using Husqvarna’s 6D Embroidery System software on her computer. That way as each color is to be stitched, she is prompted with her color number choices on the sewing machine screen.

Kristine used the Forest Flower Doe from Embroidery Library for this striking pillow! Kristine always choses an embroidery hoop size close to the size of the design to help keep the fabric in the hoop smooth.

I love the colors she chose for these pillows. They are my favorite colors which are purple and teal!
Thanks, Kristine, for allowing me to showcase your incredible talent!
