Rewind Wednesday

My husband and I took a mini vacation and I am still playing catch-up. Next week, I will have a new video to share, but for now I hope you enjoy this rewind.

I love making rosettes and just had to make some fancy ones for Halloween. This is my third video on rosettes, my first video was on how to make basic rosettes, and my second was on how to make metallic looking rosettes out of duct tape. Obviously I can’t get enough of rosettes.

In this video, I demonstrate a couple of tricks that I have learned along the way and show you some decorative Halloween rosettes. I also demonstrate how to use some of the Silhouette rosette cutting files by Lori Whitlock.

A special thanks to Deeyll for her great idea on how to make it even easier to make rosettes.

Hope you are having a great week!

Easy Paper Rosettes without a Glue Gun

I was so excited when My Scrap Chick released cutting files for no-glue Rosettes that I ordered them the same day they were released. If you follow my channel or blog, you know that I have made three previous videos on how to make rosettes and I could not wait to try a new technique. Click here to see the video I filmed two years ago on making rosettes the easy way.

Thanks to My Scrap Chick I can now make rosettes without a glue gun. I modified her directions slightly and they turned out perfect!

You get 27 Rosettes: 9 Scalloped, 9 Zig-Zag and 9 Straight edges. Each style comes in the following sizes ready to cut: Small: 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2" Medium: 3", 3-1/2", 4" and Large: 4-1/2", 5", 5-1/2" My Scrap Chick files come in a variety of formats including SVG and many more. The Rosette kit sells for $5.00 and can be purchased on her website.

Happy crafting!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I modified a BasicGrey card kit and added a homemade rosette to make this cute card. I promise this is my last BasicGrey card for awhile. Can you tell I love BasicGrey? This rosette is made with a unique material and technique.

I am filming a new video (Making Rosettes- Part Two) to demonstrate how to make this rosette and more fun tips. My goal is to have the video finished and uploaded by Wednesday, so please check back!

Hope you are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Cameos are the newest trend and I just had to use one to decorate my rosette. Hope you enjoy the video!

Stay tuned for another fun project.
