Making Glubers and Creating Fabric and Ribbon Flowers

Cosmo Cricket just came out with a new product called Glubers. They are adhesive circles that come in various sizes … 2 inch, 2 ½ inch, and 3 inches and can be used to make quick and easy fabric and ribbon flowers. They debuted at CHA and I can’t wait to buy them as they will be so easy to use! While I am waiting to order them, I decided to make my own.

Here is a card that I made using two different techniques from Cosmo Cricket. I am such a big fan of theirs and love, and use a lot of their products. I can’t wait to purchase Glubers as soon as they are available. I also came up with a couple of new ideas for ribbon flowers using homemade Glubers.

Enjoy the video!

Hi Linda, I love your flowers. Jennifer McGuire showed us how to make those rolled flowers when I took her classes a few months ago (we were soooo lucky to have her here), but I really enjoyed watching how you made the Glubers. I need ways to use up some of the stashes of material I have and this will help!!! Karin

Glubers sound like an interesting idea - but certainly something that can be made with existing supplies, just as you've shown. Thanks for the ideas! Thanks also for the flower tutorials. I especially like your blue/purple flower. That's gorgeous!

Linda,
I like your flowers (especially the last pink one), better then the glubers. Thanks for showing us your technique. Oh and by the way, if you need to get some lighter fluid. Any gumminess that builds up on your scissors from tape, can easily be cleaned off by applying a little lighter fluid to a paper towel and rubbing the surface of the scissors. Make sure you whip off excess with the cry part of your paper towel. This will not hurt your scissors at all. Happy Crafting.

I realize that this post about the flowers was quite some time ago but I wanted to comment about the use of duct tape. I never would have thought to use it and I tried and it works like a charm. The flowers are beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful cheap hint.

This was an excellent tutorial with a very budget friendly idea. I appreciate you sharing the duct tape gluber idea. I have made over 100 vintage pins with this idea. Love it!!
