A few weeks ago, I made a video on how to make quick and easy homemade post- it notes and promised I would do a video on how to make the bow I used when I packaged my notes. Click here to see the video on how to make homemade post-it notes.

Your bow turned out so cute!!! I have tons of that ribbon, so I will definitely be trying this! Thanks, Linda!!!
Been making curly ribbon bows for years, but loved the video. It gave me new perspective on curling ribbon, especially using the flat side of the ribbon to curl. TFS.

Thanks Dianne... I said flat side in the video, but I meant to say dull side instead of curling on the shiny shine.
Thanks for the nice comment!
Linda
Thanks Linda! The "dull side" is something I didn't know either, so I am glad I watched. I have a tip, just in case you didn't know...
You have the extra hand you needed for tying the ribbon. When you start tying your knot, normally, you loop the ribbon over once (ie: left over right and under). Try looping the ribbon twice, ie: left over right, under, and under again. This is an old sailors' trick that holds the tightness of your half knot until you can finish the second stage. It holds with curling ribbon and many other ribbons. A few slip anyway, but it's always worth a try.
Sandy, thanks for the comment and amazing tip. I am so going to try it. Yahoo!

What a neat bow. I hate making bows and you made this one so easy and your tutorial showed us all we can do it.

I love curly ribbon and probably have every color, but I learned a new trick today. I'll now cut six lengths to make my bow which I've never done before. I also liked Sandy's hint. It's so fun to learn from each other!
Miz MaryAnn, I so agree and I love learning from all of you!!
Linda
I've gotta try this. And I love your blog header. :)
