Izzy

I am taking a blogging day off due to the loss of our dear cat Izzy. Although she was only 7 years old, she developed severe epilepsy and unfortunately the medications worked for a couple of weeks and then she stopped responding to them. She fought a hard fight for the last three weeks and we had to put her down on Friday.

She was my crafting buddy and a wonderful momma kitty to our other 5 year old cat, Jackson. Bill, Jackson and I will miss her greatly.

Thanks again for all your comments, emails and phone calls. They mean a lot to me…more than words can express. Click here to see a few photos of Izzy helping me craft.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I have a great site that could make beads colored the same as your Izzie using a pic and will put some of her ashes inside. I have them from my cat. I would be happy to put you in touch with them when you are ready. Big hugs to all in your family.

Please take comfort in knowing that you gave Izzy a fabulous home and brought just as much JOY to little Izzy's life as Izzy brought to yours. Take time to heal and all your blogging friends send you big hugs.

So sorry about Izzy. I had my schnauzer, Dixie, for over 14 years . I had to put her down Jan. of 2011. My vet told me this was the last "kind thing" I could do for Dixie.
This is still bringing tears to my eyes to write this, but it will get better.
You have my prayers.

Dear Linda, I am so sorry to hear of Izzy's passing. I know how you feel, and I'm sad with you and your family, as well as the other pets. I lost my big Rusty kitty this week, too. He met me at the door when I came in, just fine, but then had a stroke or heart attack and was gone in about a minute. His brother keeps looking for him, and wondering why I can't fix it. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Take time and take care. (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry, Linda. I know you did the best you could for Izzy, even though it was difficult on you and your family. I often tease that I love my dogs more than my own kids (sometimes, the animals act better than the humans!), so I know how hard it is to have to say goodbye to them. Thank you for letting us know and for allowing us to share in your grief.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Izzy's passing! I know you are all heartbroken and will take time to heal. My prayers are with you all at this very sad time. I lost by German Shepherd several months ago and am still having a hard time with it. Then I lost a very dear human friend and I inherited her cat - a black and white like Izzy! Poor Jackson - it is so hard on the one "left behind" - they just don't understand - all you can really do is love him bunches more!
