Napkin Rings Made with Inexpensive Metallic Party Beads

I discovered some leftover metallic party beads in my stash and thought they would make cute napkin rings and I was right. I wanted to make more napkin rings so I went to our local party store, The Party Bug and purchased 4 strands of beads that made six trendy napkin rings, for $1.49. There is even a website dedicated to party beads. You can even buy spirit beads in your school or team colors.

This project was quick, easy and inexpensive! Metallic beads come in tons of fun colors and you can mix and match the colors too! We are having a Saint Patrick’s dinner party and I plan to use my new napkin rings. Hope you enjoy the video!

Thanks for visiting!

I wasn't sure what you meant by party beads until I watched the video. Now I know it's what we refer to as Mardi Gras beads and I have a TON of them. I think I will be making some of these in the near future.

Would hot glue work or would it melt the beads?

Thank you Linda, for making this video. This is a great idea. I collect napkin rings. Now I can make some to add to my collection. I had to giggle when I saw your E6000 glue oozing out of the tube. The same thing happens to me every time I use this glue. I never seem to get it capped before I have an oozing mess....lol. Hugs, Debbie

I have not tried using low or high temp hot glue, but I am guessing the low temp glue would be the best choice. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I think napkin rings make a dinner table look so elegant. I collect them also and have oodles of party beads, so I'm off to make some Easter table napking rings! Another great idea Linda.

I'm going to have to get some "real" napkins so I can make some of these napkin rings. What a neat idea!
