Make it in Minutes Monday

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take only minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

As most of you know, I am a huge fan of Jamie Cripps and her cutting files for both the Cricut and Silhouette machines. I purchased Jamie’s 3D Ribbon and Washi Tape Storage file (# 47683) from the Silhouette On-line store for this quick and easy project.

Each slot fits a roll of Washi tape or ribbon perfectly, but not so snug that you can't easily get them out.

This project was only two pieces and took less than 10 minutes to make. To make the holder a little more sturdy I lined the bottom of the tray with a piece of card stock. Jamie also has an expandable version of the Washi tape Holder (#555265) that you can purchase.

Have a great Monday and I hope to have a new book video for you on Wednesday.

Make it in Minutes Monday

Welcome to Make it in Minutes Monday. I thought it would be fun to feature quick and easy cards or projects that take less than 10 minutes to make, but look like you spent more time making them.

Before we get started, please click here to enter my Silhouette Portrait Tote giveaway.

I used Jamie Cripps 3D Snowman Candy Box and my Silhouette Cameo to make this adorable gift box. My Cameo does a great job cutting glitter paper. I set my blade to 8-9 and my speed to 1 and it cuts thick glitter paper perfectly! I also keep one blade just for cutting glitter paper.

This box holds an Andes 28 piece (4.67 oz.) candy box perfectly! You could also use it to hold other fun Christmas gifts too! This would be a perfect gift for that special teacher. Since I wanted more dimension, I added pop dots to the head, scarf and entire snowman. I love that Jamie includes lots of layers with her files!

Have a wonderful day!

Tissue Box Cover with Tombow’s New Xtreme Adhesive

I was thrilled when Kasey from Tombow contacted me to try out their new Xtreme adhesive. What better test than a tissue box cover made out of paper?

Tombow’s Xtreme Adhesive is the latest Tombow product to hit the market and is 5 X’s stronger than their standard tape runner. It works on a variety of hard-to-glue surfaces such as cardstock, cork, wood, fabric, glass, plastic and rubber. This cover is made using Jamie Cripps 3D Flower Rectangle Tissue Box (#64932) that I purchased from the Silhouette on-line store.

I used a glue pen on the flower and Xtreme Adhesive on the box. My tissue box cover will get plenty of use and I expect the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive will keep everything secure. What a great test for their new product!

For more information on this product, please watch the video below.

Have a great day!!
