Martha Stewart Score Board vs Scor-Pal

I thought it would be interesting to do a video comparing Martha Stewart’s Score Board to the Score-Pal. I have had my Score Pal for several weeks and love it. My sister just purchased a Martha Stewart Score Board and loved it, so of course I thought it would be fun to own both.

Scroll down to see both products in action.

Celebrate Popsicle Card

I saw a smaller stamped version of this card on-line and I decided to make one using my Cricut. Here are the abbreviated instructions.

Base Card is 7 ½ inches by 5 inches. I inked the edges using a light yellow pigment ink and rounded all corners except the upper right corner.

Next I used a 1 and 1/4 inch scallop punch to punch a bite mark out of the right corner. I then punched another bite mark out of white paper for the liner.

Cut one small 3 inch scallop circle from the Scallop Shapes SVG Collection. If you do not have the SCAL program, Storybook Cartridge has a couple of different scallop cuts, as does Mini Monograms and Sentimental.

I inked the edges using a light yellow pigment ink.

The lemon is a free SVG cut from SVG Cuts and is cut at 2 ½ inches. I used glitter paper to cut the base of the lemon. If you do not have the SCAL program, you could use the strawberry from Indie Art or the Paisley Cartridge and make a cute strawberry Popsicle. Just Because Cards has an adorable peach that would also work.

I used dimensionals to attach the lemon to the card and used a celebrate rub-on.

Lastly, I attached a popsicle stick with glue to the back of the card and tied a ribbon on the popsicle stick. The knot of the ribbon is used to hold the card shut.

Have a great week and stay tuned for an interesting new video!

Making Glitter Paste That Will Not Flake Off

I was tired of having my glitter flake off on my cards and scrapbook pages, so I decided to try making glitter paste. Now my glitter stays put and has a nice shiny finish. In addition, this paste does not curl your paper and is very easy to make.

For complete instructions, scroll down and watch the video. Enjoy and have fun making glitter paste.

It's a Girl

Posted by Picasa

I am going to a baby shower this Saturday and wanted to make a cute baby girl card. For this card, I used the Scallop Shapes SVG Collection from SVG Cuts. I cut two large scallops at 5¼ inches and welded them together to form the base of the card. I cut the medium scallop at 4½ and the inside circle at 4 inches.

The G was from the George cartridge and cut at 3¼ inches.

If you do not have the SCAL program, Storybook Cartridge has a couple of different scallop cuts and a circle cut, as does Mini Monograms. You could use Design Studio or the Gypsy to weld the large scallops to form your base card. I have not tried the scallop circle cuts from Storybook, but I will soon.

The flowers are stickers that I have had for some time. You could also use the George Cartridge to make a cute flower. Lastly, I added pink rhinestones and the card was done.

Have a great week and stay tuned for an interesting new video!

Sympathy Card and Video

I was making a sympathy card for a friend and thought I would make a video at the same time. I loved the sentiment and tried to design a card to match the feeling.

Oops, the title in the video say "File Folder Memo Pad". My husband forgot to change the title on the template, but it is the correct video.

Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More

Tags, Bags, Boxes and More is one of my favorite Cricut Cartridges. It is very versatile and I use it to create a variety of projects including the ones you see here. Cricut is discontinuing this cartridge, so if you get a chance, you may want to grab one before it is gone for good.

Have a Happy Monday!
